I'm going to Melbourne this weekend with the girls and I'm so excited!! We're going to Derby Day (Annual Horse Race) on Saturday and I can't wait!!

I'm also really looking forward to going shopping! Melbourne is the best place to shop in Australia in my opinion and one place I'm really looking forward to going to is Topshop. I've picked out a couple of things I'd looooooooove the get! Although these are all from the UK site so not sure if they'll have them in Australia.. but I'm sure there will be TONNES of amazing things for me to choose from while I'm there.

I'm really looking forward to getting away for the weekend.. It's going to be so much fun!

I'll be sure to share all my happy snaps with you when I get back :)

Have you heard of Popbasic yet?

4

If not.. let me fill you in!

Popbasic is kind of like the beauty sample boxes but with clothes and accessories instead! How cool is that!? I'm so excited about it and can't wait for the first parcel to become available.

So each month they release a mini-collection of three items (two trend pieces and one basic) along with a beauty or lifestyle surprise. So you can follow the trends while building your collection of wardrobe staples.

The package is delivered to your door each month for around $50-$100 depending on the items. The good thing is though, you don't need to purchase the collection each month (unlike the beauty sample boxes) you can just purchase it whenever it tickles your fancy or if you'd prefer, you can purchase the items individually.

Plus they offer free shipping to Australia and the US! Woohoo!

To get an idea of what the pieces will look like, here are some pics from their first collection (which will be launched in December - so verrry soon!)-

I Won't Let You Go..

American Apparel Tank, Zara Floral Bomber Jacket, Jay Jay Skinny Jeans,
Betts Centaur Wedges, Parliament Necklace

I am obsessed with this jacket! I love how colourful and girly it is! It's light weight too which makes it perfect for spring. It's a little hard to style though, which is why I've just paired it with jeans and a basic tank for now.

So I convinced my mum on the weekend to adopt a dog, she a terrier x jack russell and although I don't usually like jack russells' she's the cutest, sweetest little dog. She's 9 years old and was given up because her family moved away, so she's spent the last couple of month's at the pound and in foster care. She has the worst name though and I think it will be too hard for us to change it, seeing as she's had it for the last 9 years!.. HER name's Spike! That's right, this tiny little affectionate girl's name is Spike lol. Worst. Name. Ever. I keep acting like she's my dog, I even bought her a bed and toy! I think I'm just overly excited for my mum :)

I've been trying to convince Rob that we should foster a dog (I feel so bad for all the dogs at the pound) but he's worried about kit (our cat). I think she'll be fine but you never know..

Do you have a cat and dog? Do they get along okay?

PS. I did a 'get ready with me' video to go with this outfit too, you should check it out and let me know what you think.

Review: Mask in a Cup

What's a Mask in a Cup you ask? Well it's just that! A salon quality mask in a take home cup! I love to treat my skin to a face mask on the weekend to freshen up and have a bit of a pamper session. This weekend I road tested the Mask in a Cup for dry skin (also available for sensitive, dehydrated and oily skin).

Each mask combines pomegranate antioxidants with active clay..

and are packaged dry to ensure that all the minerals are retained (which means no added preservatives).

All you need to do is add some water, mix the mask using the enclosed spatula and voila! you'll have an active, fresh mask ready to use.

The mask itself is a chestnut red colour and the texture is thick and creamy. It's very cooling on the skin and spreads smoothly.

It dries hard (which I always like in a mask) and changes to a light pink colour. After 15 minutes, you can remove the mask using a cloth or sponge (I used a Konjacu Fibre Sponge) which I recommend doing in the bath or shower as it can get a little messy.

After I took the mask off, the redness on my face had dramatically reduced and my skin was left feeling super soft. Not many face masks give such noticeable instant results, so I was highly impressed with this.

Another great thing about these masks is the price.. they're only $9 which is a steal in my opinion. You can pick them up at selected pharmacies, health and beauty stores or online here.

All in all, a lovely, refreshing mask.

A Beautiful Life..

ASOS Swallow Print Peplum Top, Jay Jay Skinny Jeans, Ipanema Thongs,
Ray-Ban Sunnies

Argh so sorry I've been a baaaad blogger lately! Life just seems to be getting in the way of my blog (stupid life! haha).

Over the weekend I went to the coast to relax and unwind. I've been feeling a bit down lately because my skin's out of control and it's been knocking my self esteem around. I've been finding myself avoiding social situations.. which really sucks especially as we're coming into the social season! I thought it might just be the beauty products I was using but now I'm thinking that I've developed adult acne :( It's just so frustrating! I'm hoping to see a dermatologist soon to get it sorted.

This was a lazy outfit that I wore to the beach and out n about on the weekend. No jewellery or fancy accessories. Just thongs, jeans and a top. Simple. I do love wearing this top though, its so bright and playful.. and instantly puts me in a good mood.

I had such a nice time over the weekend... going to the beach, baking goodies, making delicious breakfasts (using fresh eggs from the chooks), going out for dinner, reading 50 shades of grey in the sunshine... mmmmm I wish every weekend was like this. It was perfect timing too because I just changed jobs! Today was my first day in my new job and it was great, everyone is soooo lovely and I'm actually looking forward to going to work instead of dreading it like I used to.

How was your weekend? What'd you get up to?

xx
